We can't seem to add location to our entries from the iPads and whenever I attempt to add weather to an entry from my MacBook, it says I need a premium membership, which I have. Any suggestions to correct these errors would be greatly appreciated.

If the photo is not occasionally showing up on Mac, then it could be a sync related bug. A workaround would be to edit the post or tag it on iPhone to make it sync again with Mac. Let me know if the workaround solves this issue. We will meanwhile chase that sync bug.
